Definition: Pharmacy is a specialized field that deals with the distribution, manufacture and storage of medications (usually medicine) to meet the needs of medical practitioners and patients in order to ensure their health and wellbeing. The term "pharmacologist" is not exactly accurate as it relates to doctors who specialize in treating diseases caused by medications. Instead, pharmacology is the study of drugs and their effects on health. A pharmacy is a place where medicines are sold or bought, along with other goods like drugs, supplements, vitamins, etc., at low prices. The pharmacy can be owned by a private individual, government agency, or hospital, depending on the location. Pharmacists usually have some form of training in medicine and pharmacology to become a pharmacist. They also use professional terminology, such as "dosage," "dose," "formula" and more.
