Definition: Acinetarians are a group of people who have developed antibiotic-resistant bacteria that can cause severe infections. These bacteria are known as Acinoviridae, and they often appear in households when there is an increase in antibiotics use. Acinetobacter species account for 30-85% of all types of hospital-acquired organisms (HAO) identified in a global survey from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
