Definition: To dig, chop, etc., with a bill.
Alright class, settle down, let’s take a look!
That dictionary definition is a good starting point, it’s true,
But "billing" has a meaning broader than just chopping through!
Think about a bird – a goose or a duck you see,
Using its bill for feeding, wild and free.
They peck at seeds and worms with skillful grace,
That's the
literal
sense of this billing space.
However, “billing” also means something more profound,
Especially in business, all around!
It’s about creating invoices, neat and bright,
Listing out the services – what’s right and what’s light.
It’s a record of payments, a careful trace,
Of costs for goods or services, at a measured pace.
So while digging with a bill is part of the game,
“Billing” really means accounting, it's not quite the same!
Does that make sense? Any questions to share? Let’s discuss this further!
