Definition: The word "Russia" has two meanings in the Bible. The original Greek word "Rusia" originally referred to a place known as Rus, which is now part of Russia.
1.
Russian Empire
: This term refers to the Russian nation, or "Russian nation," a confederation of different ethnicities and religions. It was formed during the period when various ethnic groups came together to form the state of the Tsardom. The Russian Empire also extended to areas in what is now Ukraine and Poland.
2.
Russian-speaking people
: This term refers to those who speak Russian as their primary language, often including speakers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and other countries that share a common ancestry with the Russian people.
The word 'All-Russia' in the Bible is used metaphorically or literally for all nations under one government. It signifies not only Russia but also any country under one authority (as in the English translation), emphasizing the unity of God's kingdom as it was revealed to Moses and Jesus Christ during his time on earth.
