Definition: Uctnet refers to the University of Cincinnati's network for digital computing, research, and education, established in 2005 as a collaboration between the university and industry partners. The term originally referred to the Universityโs technology department. Uctnet includes the Cincinnati Data Center, which is a state-of-the-art data center with 145 servers and 3,700 gigabytes of storage capacity; the Cincinnati Innovation Park, which houses startups and accelerators, including the University's own incubator, TechCity Lab; and the Universityโs Innovation Hub, which hosts research labs and serves as a hub for university-based companies. Uctnet also includes the Cincinnati Center for Computing Technologies (CCC), an industry-led center for computing technology education.
