Definition: The word "Wilberforce" means, in English, a British legislator who sought to limit slavery by imposing an Act of Parliament that made it illegal to sell slaves for human consumption. The law was passed in 1833. This term is also used in reference to the United States Supreme Court's ruling in Brown v. Board of Education (1954) that declared segregation as unconstitutional under the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
