Definition: Adebayo is a Nigerian lawyer, journalist, and author. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria on February 9, 1960. In 2007, he received his law degree from the University of Lagos where he graduated as an associate with the law firm of Nairn & Company. He then proceeded to study journalism at the Nigerian Institute for Training and Research. After graduating in 1984, Adebayo worked as a reporter for the Financial Times. Adebayo's writing career began in 2002 when he published his first book, "The Nigerian Dream." The book was translated into English by James Herndon in 2007 and became an international bestseller. In addition to journalism, Adebayo is also a lawyer and author of several books. Adebayo is known for his work on issues related to the Nigerian political scene and has written extensively about Nigeria's current political landscape. He has been involved in various public inquiries into the country's governance, including the investigation into alleged corruption at the Nigerian Air Force. In 2018, Adebayo was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for his book "The African Scholar: Africa's Best Story."
